Tired of giving great ideas at work but no one is listening?

Here are two simple steps to making a BAM Slide!

Step 1:

You need an image!

The higher up the ladder you go the less time and less understanding you have of specific processes.

This image should be a visual representation of the problem you are facing.

Find the most ridiculous circumstances and map them through process mapping, spaghetti diagram, or any visual representation that fits your data set.

This will grab their attention!

Step 2:

We need to calculate mathematically how much the process has lost or will lose due to this problem. Need that monetary amount for later.

Put these both on a PowerPoint and make the monetary amount BOLD, large, and in RED.

Make sure you verify these numbers and can back your math as once you publish these numbers everyone will question them…but they are looking and talking and will ask you “What are we going to do about it.”

This is the first step in getting leaders/colleagues aware that there is a problem, and that we need to do something about it.

The goal is to have them accept it’s a problem and agree to do something about it.
